Will this children's mattress have a strong odor when new?

Some new mattresses, especially those shipped compressed, may have a mild new product smell at first. This is usually temporary. We recommend unpacking the mattress in a well-ventilated room and allowing it to air out before adding bedding or letting your child sleep on it.
