When should my child transition from a crib mattress to a regular bed?

Many children move from a crib to a toddler bed between 18 months and 3 years, depending on their size, activity level, and ability to climb. If your child is trying to climb out of the crib or has outgrown the height/weight recommendations, it may be time to transition.
