What does the inside of a mattress look like?

A typical pocket coil mattress includes a support core made of individually wrapped coils, topped by transitional foams or fibers and then softer comfort layers near the surface. Some models add reinforced coil zones in the center third and perimeter edge supports, as well as quilting or pillow-top/Euro-top sections for extra plushness.
