What components make up a mattress?

Most hybrid mattresses consist of an individually wrapped coil support core, transitional layers to smooth the feel, and thicker comfort layers of memory foam, polyfoam, latex, or a blend of these. A quilted cover and sometimes a pillow-top or Euro-top finish the design, creating a layered structure that influences firmness, pressure relief, and responsiveness.
