How thick should a mattress be for an adjustable bed?

Most adjustable bases work best with mattresses between about 8 and 14 thick. Very thin mattresses may not provide enough comfort and support, while very thick or ultra-heavy designs may flex poorly or strain the base check the base and mattress manufacturer's recommended thickness range.
