Are mattresses good for side sleepers?

Side sleepers can be comfortable on innerspring mattresses if the comfort layers are thick and soft enough to cushion the shoulders and hips. Plush or medium innerspring models with pillow-top or Euro-top surfaces are often better choices for side sleepers than very firm, minimally padded designs.
